HELSINKI

On Monday 9th, the cruise arrived to Helsinki harbour. That day we hadn't slept very much because we had been in the disco the night before.

We met at 9.30 to visit the city, but the Swedish group was ot well organized, so we decided to take a map and visit Helsinki on our own.
It was the coldest day. The temperture was around 0º and al of us were wearing thick clothes. First of all, we walked to Ursa observatory. We crossed some gardens and arrived to he sea. We could see the ice one or two meters deep in. We walked past the statue of Liberty handed in Russia after the war as a symbol of peace between the countries.

Then we walked to the city center. We saw the Senate Square Center, Presidencial Palace and Uspansky Cathedral. We bought some local food in Old Market Hall, and visited the stone-paved streets where the tramways were.
Quickly the hours passed and we ate something in McDonald's before went backto he ship. We all were very tired and after buying some souvenirs in a shop, we went to sleep in our cabins until dinner time.

Later that afternoon all the Spanish group as well as Thais, Alex, Per, Eva and her son, and the wo Swedish mothers, went to have dinner at the Grill restaurant. We had a lovely meal and then, we got ready to party all night!!!
